Frage Zetor 6211 Declutching of PTO

Hi all, could anyone explain how the declutching of the PTO works to me. What is it used for ?

It used to work a bit of time ago in my fathers 6211 but the cable up to the lever in the cab is broken as it emerges through the cab floor.

If I put in a new cable would it work or is the mechanism below likely to have ceased for lack of use ?

Where does the other end of the cable connect to ?

You can download the owners manual for your model on www.cals.cz.
The mechanism would work fine. The cable was probably rusted solid and broke. Look under the tractor for the other end.
I have a copy of the shop manual in English. Mail me if you need more info.

I think that when the PTO is engaged by the lever on the floor, and you want to stop the PTO for a short time ( like by making a turn ) than you use the hand lever next to the chair.
But please check the manual, there is more info about the PTO than I want to write here.

Thanks for that, we have an old Vicon fertilizer spreader, (one without hydraulics : D ) with the bar for opening a closing the grates to let fertilizer flow or now.

Would it be possible (when fertilizer spreading alone) instead of reaching back and down to the handle, the pto de-clutching lever could be pulled nd therefore stop manure being spread while turning or driving across already covered ground.

Likely problem of manure building up in spout as grate wouldn't be closing.

Is there any solution out there for this?

Today, I found where the other end of the declutching cable connects to, after a bit or cleaning and lubricating, i began to pull the cable as if it was the handle in the cab but the PTO did not stop turning.

I am quite sure I have the pneumatically controlling system of declutching, see below image.

Could I check if it works further up the line rather than pulling the cable ? Could the cylinder be gone ( #5911 2139)

The force necessary for a hand clutch disengagement is 120 Nm.

okay, that must be the reason so, just wanted to see if I could get it to stop then id know the new cable would work thats fine, thanks Bert.
